Position Summary
The Patient Foodservice Attendant prepares food for Patients using safe food handling techniques. Other responsibilities include: stocking food/supplies, soiled tray pick up from patient units, and cleaning dishes, pots and pans. Patient Foodservice Attendant prepares and delivers nourishments, tray assembly and meal delivery. Patient Foodservice Attendants are responsible for maintaining a clean work area.
Required
2 years of high school completed
Preferred
One year of foodservice in healthcare or related field
Familiar with computers.
Other Skills Required
Able to read and write with accuracy using the English language.
Must be able to follow directions and perform routine duties with a minimum of supervision. Must demonstrate an enthusiasm for working with patients and food.
Must have an aptitude for attention to detail and food safety.
Physical Requirements
Normal work day: 8 hrs. Time spent sitting: 0%, time spent standing or walking: 40%, time spent standing in one place for a period of time: 60%. Miles walked: 4 miles/day. Amounts lifted: 10-50 lb, 10% of the day. Weights pushed:

Works in a well-lit, ventilated kitchen. Must adapt to noise, interruptions and heat.
