Specialist, Clinical Informatics

Providesenterprise or departmental information systems support to Health Systemclinicians in support of clinical systems (EMR, Pharmacy, Nursing, SCM, etc) asassigned. Evaluates, plans, organizes and integrates information, computer andclinical sciences to optimize acquisition, storage, retrieval, management andcommunication of related clinical data, information and knowledge. Assessesworkflow related processes and requirements and facilitates system enhancements and modification to meet clinician requirements.Recommends and implements approved system improvements.
1. Collaborateswith management and clinicians in designing, implementing and maintainingclinical applications (i.e. Sunrise Clinical Manger, EMR, medication managementsystems, etc). Assists in thedevelopment of design specifications in support of new or modified clinicalapplications.
2. Documentscurrent processes to establish a baseline for developmental improvements offuture workflows and recommends and assists with implementing new and improvedprocesses and workflows.
3. Actsas a liaison and represents the system users/customers in all projectinitiatives. Performs post-implementation monitoring of adoption and use.
4. Participatesin interdisciplinary and process improvement teams to identify potential usesof the information systems and potential improvements in current use ofsystems.
5. Educates clinical and support staff to optimizeinformation system/ applications and maintain integrity. Supports clinicalstaff to use technology in a manner which promotes patient safety,confidentiality and efficiency.
6. Coordinatesdata reporting and performs analysis necessary to support patient/clinicalrecords, performance improvement and departmental decision-making.
7. Actsas a liaison to clinically related committees (i.e. Nursing Institute,Institute for Clinical Excellence, P and T committee, etc.) and staff tocoordinate and communicate CIS projects and outcomes measurement. Facilitatesongoing enterprise CIS design and implementation associated with assignedclinical discipline policies and practices and QM standards.
8. Performsrelated duties, as required.
Bachelor'sDegree in Nursing,Pharmacy, Healthcare Management, Allied Health, Information Systems or relatedfield, required. Masters Degree,preferred.
Currentlicensure as appropriate (i.e. RN, Respiratory Therapy, Pharmacy, or otherrelated clinical license), required. Advanced clinical licensure (i.e. PA, NP), preferred.
Minimumof five (5) years directly related clinical experience, healthcare informaticsor healthcare operations, including leadership, and/or education, required.
Currentclinical practice, healthcare operations expertise and a strong customer service focus with ability to develop effectiveworking relationships,required.
Current knowledge of clinicalpractices and related information systems and computer applications,required.
Maintains current knowledge of trendsand advances in assigned clinical discipline and healthcare informatics as wellas new developments in hardware and software technology.
Demonstrated initiative, problem identification,resolution and analytical skills areessential, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
