Technical Project Manager - Security

Web Security Services are part of the Akamai Professional Services team and work directly with clients to deliver Akamai's managed security service solutions and provides a sole point of contact for all the customer's security question and requests. As a Technical Project Manager you will be involved with the management of Akamai's Security customers from on-boarding to renewal. You will be responsible for customer training on tools and technology, regular value confirmation of the security services, managing escalations, and coordination of the customer's security stance.

Through its proven methodologies and processes, this highly experienced team of consultants has implemented effective solutions for over 2,000 Akamai customers.
Provide technical ownership of long-term customer relationships
Own all aspects of the customer's security stance for both Prolexic solutions and Managed Kona products, including but not limited to their configuration, scheduled maintenance tasks, upkeep of administrative and mitigation related documentation
Work closely with Engagement Managers, Solutions Engineering, Sales, Engineering, Product Development, Security Operations Centre (SOC) and Customer Care to resolve issues that arise during customer trials or integrations
Identify new product features and additional sales opportunities during trials and integrations and communicate to product development and engineering teams
Participate in internal projects that help scale the group, implement best practices, and improve methodology
Travel around 15%
Responsibilities:
Drive the smooth operation of the security provisioning projects
Track, follow up on process dependencies and communicate status to upper management and required stakeholders within Akamai
Document agendas, meeting minutes, and action items from key meetings
Identify and manage areas of risk/opportunity, and influence and implement continuous process improvements
Define and use tools and business systems required to support the programs/projects
Support cross functional teams and subject matter experts in the planning and implementation of multiple programs/projects
Evaluate high-level business problems to identify logical solutions to solve the problem
Provide the highest level of customer service to internal (project teams) and external (customers) constituents
Estimate work efforts for the projects and manage resources accordingly
Work closely with Akamai Senior Management to understand priorities, influence decisions, propose solutions, and ensure success of key priorities
Manage customers projects to track deliverables and utilization
Involvement in full customer life-cycle, from on-boarding, through implementation to post-implementation support
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's, Masters or PhD Degree or equivalent
Fluency in Swedish and English
Experience in a Project Management role ideally in a cross-functional technical delivery capacity
Experience in a Security related role ideally in a cross-functional technical delivery capacity
Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail
Possess high level of customer service
Have the drive to take ownership to personally resolve issues
Ability to participate in a continuous improvement cycle
An provable interest in web security is a must!
Qualifications:
Ability to work in a high activity environment without necessarily increasing stress levels
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills and the ability to work effectively across a wide range of constituencies in a diverse corporate and client environment
Proven ability to deliver projects on time and on budget while communicating with key senior leaders
Proficient with project management principles and practices.
Ability to handle contention and potential conflict situations with clients professionally
CISSP or other Security certifications a plus
ITIL or other Project Management certifications a plus
Expertise with Microsoft Office products
Knowledge of JIRA and other Program Management tools
