Sr. Project Manager
THE ROLE:
The Jaybird Sport team is seeking an experienced project manager of to join an exciting and driven team. You will be an integral member of a global group that defines and develops new customer experiences from concept to production. Our goal is to bring music to where you sweat!
Reporting to the Head of Program Management, the Sr Project Manager is responsible for leading project teams to deliver new products from concept into mass production. You will lead a cross-functional team of engineers, operations leads, designers, and other teams to bring our products from concept to production. You will develop project schedules and milestones using our internal project process, manage the team to that schedule and deliverables, highlight risks to management, and work with manufacturers around the world. You will be able to dive deep on EE, ME, Compliance, RF, ID, and all other issues, and simplify decisions at a high level. You will be able to give tradeoffs context and drive for clear direction to move the project forward.
YOUR CONTRIBUTION:
Some of your key responsibilities will be:
Day to day leadership of development project(s) in the Jaybird category
Coordinating the cross functional team of engineering, marketing, design, and operations to deliver projects from concept whiteboard to product on the shelf
Drive adherence to internal development process milestones, ensure alignment across stakeholders
Ownership of all BOM details, driving product cost, relationship with supplier during development, all build activity for pilot builds and initial ramp
Chair and drive all phase-gate reviews with senior management as well as regular team meetings and supplier communications
Own all issues reporting, tracking, and plans for resolution
Keeping team and management accountable to deliverables and escalating where appropriate
YOUR
Qualifications:
For consideration, please bring the following minimum skills and behaviors:
BS in ME/EE or equivalent
5
years of experience developing highly integrated products (preferably in consumer space)
3
years in a Project Manager role
Strong technical background, able to represent technical issues to non-technical teams
Humble but fearless, willing to stand up for the right actions and make sure all angles of an issue are covered
Proficient at Agile PLM for BOM management
Ability to travel approx 20% including US, Europe, and Asia
