Principal
Responsibilities:
Perform weekly, monthly and quarterly environmental monitoring tests
Trend data for environmental monitoring
Perform Bacterial Endotoxin Test
Perform Product Bioburden Tests
Test of sterility of BIs
Media Growth Promotion
Assist in nonconformance investigation
Track, perform and report FMA test requirements
Track and acquire product bioburden samples for quarterly tests
Write Quarterly Environmental Reports
Prepare samples and test request forms for external contract tests
Coordinate and execute CEA recertification efforts
Perform product radiation dose audits
Train other Microbiologists
Perform and write reports for quarterly dose audits radiation product families
Perform annual EO sterilization cycle revalidations
Lead Investigations for NCE, RCI, CAPA
Serve as microbiology and sterilization member on product development teams
Evaluate data to support sterilization validation runs
Understands EO residual and tolerable contact limit applications
Working understanding of D-Value and SAL
Develop and implement test methods to support environmental or product testing.
Completes annual continues improvement project.
Determine impact of Gap analysis of standards
Serve as a SME in at least one departmental area
Requirements: EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree required
Two years of relevant experience required
SPECIALIZED SKILLS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent organizational skills (schedules, prioritization, traceability) required. Must be computer literate and have a thorough understanding of basic laboratory and aseptic techniques.
Understanding of environmental monitoring, sterilization and microbial support in medical devices industry preferred.
