Site Superintendents at SmartWatt ensure projects are on-time, completed in the safest possible manner, and delivered with the highest quality. You have the ability to directly influence the end result of a project and impact customer satisfaction. This is a fundamental role in not only making business facilities more efficient and less costly, but improving the safety, health and comfort of those working there.
Site Superintendents make an impact by:
Connecting and collaborating with customers, subcontractors and third parties on all assigned jobsites with the objective of building and maintaining successful relationships,
Planning, leading and coordinating all work activities on the jobsite, ensuring compliance with all local, state and federal regulations,
Effectively implementing SmartWatt's safety program and site specific safety plans with the objective of having zero incidents and ensuring everyone remains safe on the job,
Tracking, monitoring and reporting on safety, productivity, and quality of work performance on jobsites; identifying opportunities to improve and adjusting plans accordingly,
Remaining accountable to meeting all established project plan and schedules.
The core components of success are (i.e. must haves):
A High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 5 years of successful onsite management of jobsites utilizing multiple trades
At least 10 years of field work in the construction trade, electrical preferred
An ability to work varying shifts as needed
Active Driver's License
The following are a definite plus, so if you have any of these be sure to tell us!
2-year degree from a Trade school
OSHA 30
Journeyman or Master Trade license
Electrical contractors license, or an ability of obtain an electrical contractor license (as necessary) to self-perform electrical work throughout the region.

Technical knowledge; in-depth knowledge of construction trade and the National Electrical Code.
Safety knowledge; history of promoting safety first, as well as practicing and enforcing safety compliance
Communication; demonstrated ability to successfully communicate across all levels of an organization
Planning; proven success in effectively setting priorities and establishing timelines and sticking to them
Quality control; proven ability to establish and monitor quality measures as well as a take corrective actions.
Decision making; history of analyzing and interpreting data to make sound decision
Leadership; a history of successfully leading others; inflicting a positive influence and setting the right tone
Customer focus; passionate about ensuring customers are happy
Computer skills; proficient with MSOffice suite

The work environment:
As a Site Superintendent you will spend the majority of your time working on various job sites which will require frequent driving, standing and walking. You will frequently need to be able to see (with or without correction) and correctly identify common colors. While on customer sites the environment can vary and there is potential to be exposed to hazardous conditions, extreme temperatures and/or dusty or noisy conditions. When not on a jobsite you will work in an office environment that can require prolonged sitting and working on a computer. The position also regularly communicates with co-workers and occasionally communicates with customers which requires the ability to exchange accurate information in an understandable way.
The travel required for this position is 75-100% of the time and will be mostly regional.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
