Senior Biomedical Engineer

We are seeking an exceptional engineer to lead development of new medical applications and product concepts through modeling, benchtop biomedical experiments, and clinical studies. Programs involve a broad range of technologies including complex laser and optical delivery systems, ultrasound, and radio-frequency devices. The ideal candidate would have experience developing medical applications in one or more of these areas and the ability to work both independently and within a team. This position provides a unique opportunity to drive innovation in a fast-paced environment through research and development of new applications using industry leading device technologies.
Responsibilities:
Design, set up, and conduct ex-vivo and in-vitro laboratory experiments to support development of new therapies and diagnostics.
Develop software models to simulate the interaction of optical, radio-frequency, and ultrasound radiation with tissue.
Partner with university research groups as needed to develop new medical applications.
Design clinical study protocols and support early stage clinical trials for new products.
Develop advanced clinical assessment techniques and equipment to quantify clinical outcomes.
Stay current with developments in academia and industry through literature and conferences.
Manage and provide experimental data for regulatory submissions.
Help define project priorities and work aggressively to meet project milestones.
Communicate status/progress of projects and tasks regularly in clearly summarized reports.
Requirements:
Minimum of Master's degree, Ph.D. preferred, in Physics, Physical Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
Knowledge of fundamental concepts related to thermally induced tissue damage, light-tissue interaction, or biomedicine.
Basic knowledge of optics, electronics, and mechanical design.
Experience aligning complex optical systems or lasers is a plus.
A sense of urgency in driving projects and working aggressively to meet project schedules.
Experience using software for data analysis, data acquisition, and modeling. Examples include MatLab, COMSOL, Python, Zemax, and LabView or equivalents.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
