Job Description:
Perform website design. Develop graphic design that effectively communicates the ideas being promoted by the Web site. Meet with team and client to discuss ideas for the layout and organization of the site, the types of color or images, and other matters concerning overall graphic design. Support design on assigned projects, work with team to identify strategic intent of projects, assist with conceptualizing and developing sound visual concepts and architectures and assist with the design of user interfaces.
POSITION
Summary:
Under close supervision, assists in developing custom programs for web sites that will attract users and provide desired information. Possesses working knowledge of programming and server software operations. Creates Web front-end user interface to new or existing databases using a combination of HTML, SQL, C, VB or other languages to make business applications accessible.
RESPONSIBILTIES:
Design user interface for client websites and web-based application including visual look & feel, graphics, styles, navigation and layout. Communicate and oversee the consistency of web design parameters, style guides, and visual standards. Design and implement websites that enrich and optimize the exchange of information and produce effective communications between IBSSO (Integrated Broadcast Service Support Office) & it's customers. Maintain Sharepoint site. Archive documentation.
Required
Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI security clearance
Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in fine arts, graphic design. Minimum 2 years deign experience in an interactive media/web development. Training in computer graphics packages such as Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Paint Shop Pro. Knowledge of Flash, XML-based web applications and programming, XHTML programming and other web develop development languages and technologies. Knowledge of FTP.
EDUCATION &
Experience:
Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent and zero to two years of related work experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
