We are currently searching for a Senior Systems Engineer for our Headquarters office in Harvey, Illinois. Harvey is located approximately 30 miles South of Downtown Chicago.
Reporting to the IT Systems Manager in the Corporate Information Technology Department, the Senior Systems Engineer will have primary responsibility for the day to day operation and monitoring of software and storage systems and hardware. The Senior Systems Engineer will serve as the escalation point for other Systems Engineers and Service Desk personnel in troubleshooting end user issues. Additionally, the Senior Systems Engineer will provide strategic capacity planning and develop a roadmap for technology.
Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Operate and maintain Office 365 to include Exchange in the Cloud
Operate and maintain system patches, software, storage and hardware systems
Serve as an escalation point for Service Desk personnel to troubleshoot end user issues with exceptional customer service
Assist the IT Systems Manager in developing standard work for all Service Desk procedures related to systems operations
Provide operational metrics to the IT Systems Manager
Ensure standard work is being followed in the operation and maintenance of all systems under the role's span of control.
Plan and assist in the implementation of new systems and the decommissioning of end of life systems
Assess the current environment and suggest/engineer improvement paths where needed
Conducts project planning, cost analysis and vendor comparisons, creating a department blueprint for technology needs.
Coach, train, and mentor less experienced Systems Engineers and Service Desk team members.
Requirements
High School Degree required
Bachelors Degree preferred
6 years of relevant experience
MCP or MCSE/MCTS certifications required
Experience in systems operation and maintenance
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Must possess a continuous/process improvement focus
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to operate independently or within a team environment
Demonstrated ability to mentor less experienced team members
Experience required with the following:

O365 Exchange in the Cloud
Exchange 2007/2013 On-Premise with Hybrid
Microsoft Active Directory Schema
DNS/DHCP
Microsoft Group Policy
VMWare ESX
Microsoft Hyper-V
Virtual DR Strategy

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
