Director of Operations - Red Oak Facility
Overview
Triumph Aerostructures - Vought Aircraft Division is a leading global manufacturer of aerostructures for commercial, military and business jet aircraft. As a direct report to the Red Oak facility site President, provide senior leadership direction to the production operations organization for assigned programs with accountability for product cost, schedule and quality. The successful candidate will provide guidance to subordinates based on organizational goals and company policy. Work is reviewed in terms of meeting the organization's objectives and schedules. This position is located in Red Oak, Texas.
Responsibilities
Through subordinate managers, supervisors and support staff, provides leadership to assigned production functions at the Red Oak facility. Responsible for achieving organizational goals in support of overall site performance. Responsible for the Development and administration of budgets, schedules, and performance standards, as well as performance to those metrics. Responsible for ensuring adequate staffing and training of assigned production areas, commitment to program and customer requirements, site and company policies. Establishes and maintains an effective organizational structure for assigned production functions. Acts as an advisor to subordinate managers, supervisors or staff members to meet production schedule, cost and quality goals. Work through subordinate managers, supervisors and support staff to proactively resolve technical or operational problems.
Qualifications
Requires strong knowledge of production operations, program management, budgeting, scheduling and quality control standards as well as strong business acumen. Requires budgeting experience and demonstrated success in managing both production and financial performance of a manufacturing organization. Requires extensive Aerospace Manufacturing experience. Requires SAP experience; Black Belt certifcation preferred. Requires BA/BS or equivalent plus 10 years related experience.
