Join PAREXEL's Legal and Risk Management Team for an exciting opportunity in supporting our commercial contracts. We are a dynamic team and looking for someone who brings Initiative and Enthusiasm. This role requires an individual who is resourceful, independent, and a self-starter.
This is a client-facing position. This position is primarily responsible and accountable for the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts with clients and business partners under the guidance and direction of senior members of the Legal & Risk Management department.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all contracting processes are followed, including obtaining and documenting any approvals required in connection with each contract.

  • He or she is responsible for facilitating the resolution of business / legal issues and formulating recommendations using analysis, creativity and the development of new approaches to enable contract execution while safeguarding the Company and creating a positive customer experience all in accordance with Company policies and procedures.

  • He or she will participate in and contribute to the development and on-going review of relevant processes, guidelines and procedures relating to the Companys commercial contracting practices.

  • The work requires cross-functional collaboration within the Company.


Key Accountabilities

  • Drafting, review and negotiation of commercial contracts world-wide scope

  • Establishing strong, collaborative relationships with team members responsible for commercial contracting, including Business Development, Strategic Business Units, Business Operations and Finance

  • Ensuring all contracting processes and procedures are followed with respect to the negotiation and execution of commercial contracts

  • Maintaining a positive, results-oriented work environment, building partnerships and modeling teamwork and communicating to the team in an open, balanced and objective manner

  • Ensuring that the contracting process generates positive client experience and goodwill that can be used as the foundation for a long-term, collaborative relationship

  • Ensuring contractual documents are processed and appropriately maintained in relevant systems

  • Managing risks through application of Company policies, processes, guidelines and procedures


QualificationsSkills

  • Contract management expertise

  • Experience with Master Service Agreements is desirable

  • Superb legal drafting skills, with affinity for using language to achieve compromise

  • Excellent leadership skills

  • Process-oriented and proactive approach to contract drafting and negotiation

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to bring complex matters to closure

  • Ability to articulate contractual issues in a manner that leads to valuable stakeholder feedback

  • Ability to take a business and client-focused approach to work

  • Value the importance of teamwork, as a team leader and member

  • Able to manage and engage team members in order to improve performance and achieve objectives

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and attention to detail

  • Ability to establish project management plan with stakeholders and drive negotiations in accordance with timelines

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
