Summary
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for certain aspects of accounting operations, especially the accounting and tracking of costs and payments for clinical trials, ensuring adherence to Company policies and processes.

Specific Responsibilities
Responsible for certain aspects of accounting operations that are related to clinical trials
Adhere to the deadlines for related areas to ensure a timely close
Book journal entries and perform account reconciliations for clinical trials related items
Assist in preparing the accrual for invoices received but not approved and gathering information for accrual estimates related to clinical trials
Work closely with the Clinical Operations team and external vendors to track costs, identify cost drivers, and provide support for the cost projections of clinical trials
Monitor assigned areas for process improvement to ensure efficiency while reporting risks
Prepare and provide documentation for external and internal auditors on a timely basis
Understand and maintain Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) documentation and requirements for assigned areas
Forecasting clinical trial spend and ad hoc analysis on costs of clinical trials
Follow Company policies and processes to maintain efficient processes
Special projects and other tasks as assigned Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
4-5
year of accounting and finance experience
Knowledge of US GAAP
Ability to follow instructions for multiple projects with competing priorities and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
Life science / biotech experience, with clinical trial forecasting and accounting strongly preferred
Systems-savvy
Experience with Quick Books, and other general ledger/ERP systems, Cognos TM1, CTMS, EDC, IXRS reports
Ability to understand and process high volumes of data
Team players onlyEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
