Summary & Scope of Position:
We are seeking a dedicated, energetic, and creative individual who will provide technical support to Aduro Biotech's immunotherapy programs with an emphasis on immunological assays using in vivo models.
Primary
Responsibilities:
The Research Associate, Translational Science/Immunology will support in vitro/in vivo/ex vivo experiments in murine models to evaluate efficacy, mechanism of action, and safety of anticancer immunotherapies based on live attenuated Listeria monocytogenes, small molecules agonists of STING, and monoclonal antibody-based therapies.Preferred
Qualifications:
BS/BA in Immunology, Molecular and/or Cell Biology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Virology, or related field with a minimum of 1-2 years' relevant laboratory experience.
Experience with in vivo experimental procedures related to murine cellular immunology (e.g. injections via multiple routes, bleeds, organ harvests, etc.) is desired.
Working knowledge of flow cytometry is highly-preferred. Experience with immunoassays such as immunomicroscopy, multiplex cytokine assays (CBA/Luminex), and ELISPOT would also be beneficial.
Strong critical thinking skills and an ability to work independently. Must be well-organized and detail-oriented.
Ability to work productively and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
Proficiency in standard software (e.g. MS office and graphing programs), and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of FACS DIVA and Flowjo is preferred.
