Technical Sales Specalist - Attention: Scientists done with lab enviro
Join our exciting organization's Sales Team and be one of the faces of ProZyme to our customers! The Technical Sales Specialist - Bay Area Based, will be responsible for profitably growing ProZyme's glycobiology and glycoanalysis business in the Western US by identifying and closing significant business.
Responsibilities will include the development and execution of the sales plan in key target segments, primarily biopharmaceutical with some focus on research and university customers. Success will require the use of creative motivation, skill development, product knowledge, industry and competitive knowledge as well as company knowledge to build and achieve the sales plan. As a member of the sales team, you will provide input regarding products, strategies and tools that affect ProZyme's business. This will be supported by an in-depth understanding of the target markets, their key customer needs, and differentiation of the product from the competition. Products will range from services to reagents to capital sales of equipment at the $50,000
price point.

Responsibilities:
Meet or exceed sales targets
Development and execute territory and account specific strategies Drive the technical sales process in key accounts
Understand and communicate customer requirements as it relates to sample preparation and analytical requirements
Accurately forecast sales in the target markets
Manage the region to build and maintain a strong funnel to meet sales forecasts
Establish and maintain contact with key accounts/customers/industry thought leaders
Provide input to Sales & Marketing regarding products, strategies and tools
Routinely and accurately update the company CRM (Salesforce)

Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of sales experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to travel 50%
of the time
Education:
BS required, advanced Life Science Degree and/or MBA a plusEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
