Warehouse Assistant
Job Description
Great Basin Industrial is seeking a highly motivated and mechanically inclined individual to help our field warehouse receive and send tools, equipment, and supplies to our traveling workforce. The successful Warehouse Assistant will help ensure GBI s success by providing field warehouse support to our field crews from our Field Warehouse in Tremonton, Utah.
START DATE: Immediately
WAGE: DOE $18.00 Hourly, non-exempt.
Responsibilities
PRIMARY DUTIES: (duties will be included but are not limited to)
Operate basic fabrication equipment as needed.
Assist in planning lay-out of future jobs in shop.
Perform housekeeping duties throughout shop environment as needed.
Support other shop projects through performing various duties as needed.
Operate forklift as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Prior education through a high school or trade school welding program.
One or more years prior labor experience in a shop environment (industrial industry).
Basic ability to read blueprints.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to pass the forklift certification test.
Ability to operate industrial machinery.
Basic computer skills including internet and email.
Ability to read a tape measure.
Strong focus on safe work performance.
Proven track record of good work attendance and ability to maintain attendance per company policy.
Ability to perform work in a high quality manner.
Ability to maintain strong housekeeping of work areas including maintenance of company equipment.
Strong ability to work well and interact with others throughout the organization.
Ability to multi-task and to work independently and with minimal direction.
Proven ability to communicate effectively in writing, verbally and in-person.
Ability to represent GBI in a professional manner.
Ability to work a flexible work schedule.
Ability to routinely perform physical duties including but not limited to lifting up to 50 lbs., climb stairs and ladders, standing and walking for periods of time, working in confined spaces, and occasional work in inclement weather.
Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug testing as well as pre-employment physical and background check.
