JSI Store Fixtures, Inc. (www.jsistorefixtures.com) is a designer and manufacturer of high-quality refrigerated and non-refrigerated wood merchandising displays for the supermarket industry. We have opening for the following positions in our Payson UT facility.
LEAD PERSON
JOB
Summary: Provide assistance to the Production Manager by helping to plan production schedules, establish material and labor requirements and equipment needs. Assures timely manufacturing of high quality products, according to provided drawings and customer specifications.
Responsibilities
DUTIES:
Assists in production planning by reviewing present and future production order
Anticipates labor requirements, equipment needs and bottlenecks that could impede smooth production flows and on-time customer deliveries
Helps to provide accurate and on-time deliveries of customer orders, according to pre-determined delivery schedules
Ensures that high quality manufacturing standards are maintained
Ensures that all employees observe and comply with OSHA and JSI safety regulations
Assists in training and/or interacting with team members to help meet established goals and standards
Attend production, quality and safety meetings to keep abreast of corporate needs and policies
Help to assure that work areas and aisles around the workstations are kept clean and free of debris
Other duties that may be assigned on an as-required basis
Responsibilities:
Alert to maintaining a safe work environment, making certain that employees will not be in jeopardy to injury
Demonstrate a professional attitude when approaching work assignments
Directs the work assignments of those employees assigned to his/her section
Disciplinary responsibilities are limited to verbal reprimands. Any disciplinary action above a verbal warning will be the responsibility of the Production Manager and/or the Plant Manager
Display an awareness to maximize the utilization of materials and to minimize waste of materials
Analyze and maintain close control of manufacturing and material costs
Display a sense of urgency towards completing assigned tasks
Assists in developing solutions to problems
Alert to the quality of work being produced and that it is acceptable to company standards and specifications
Performs job tasks with Worker Safety Being The Priority
Maintains good attendance
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Ability to read and interpret job orders and to understand specifications and technical drawings
Possess good verbal and written communication skills
Possess supervisory training or have commensurate experience
Possess proven Human Relations skills
Ability to manage multi tasks in a fast paced environment
Capable of learning new skills as needed
Must be detail oriented
