Design Engineers
SanDisk Corporation needs Design Engineers in Milpitas, California to design, develop, modify and evaluate electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and other hardware systems. Determine design approaches and parameters. Characterization and modeling of stress related phenomena in wafer processing of 3D monolithic integrated NAND memory devices. Modeling of layout pattern dependent local stress of singularized and non-singularized Si device structures with 3D finite element simulations throughout the manufacturing process starting with front end of line wafer processing until dicing during back end of line processing. Optimization of front end wafer processing by characterization of in plane structure distortion and overlay performance by eliminating and replacing of stress inducing process steps. Development of optimized measurement and process control techniques and necessary tool modifications.
Employer will accept a Masters in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field and 1 year of work experience in job offered or 1 year of work experience in a Design Engineer-related occupation. Education or experience must include:
1. Micro/Nano-electronic devices process development/integration including PVD , Electrodeposition, CVD, ALD, E-Beam Evaporation, IBD
2. RIE, Ion Mill, DRIE
3. Photolithography, E-beam Lithography
4. CMP, Dicing Saw
5. Oxidation, Thermo Annealing, Wet Process
6. Micro/Nano-electronic devices/material characterization including SEM, FIB, TEM, STEM, AFM, XRD, 4 Point Probe Station, ellipsometry, interferometry, spectroscopy, scatterometry, Dektak Profilometer
7. 3D device/process modeling (TCAD/FE);
8. Semiconductor/Optoelectronics systems design, implementation and instrumentation
9. Semiconductor and Optoelectronics Materials; and
10. Process integration of nano-electronic devices.
Experience may be gained concurrently.
Some travel may be required to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the U.S. and abroad.
