We are currently looking for a PrePress Associate to work in our North Smithfield, RI headquarters. This position is a key component in helping our customer service team maintain our high level of quality throughout every facet of our business.
While no day is ever the same at NMC, some of the regular responsibilities of the PrePress Associate are:
Create prepress production files for the Oce, Vutek, Seiko and Epson digital printers utilizing Adobe Illustrator and Onyx and Fiery RIP Software.
Create prepress production files for the Oce, Vutek , Seiko, and Epson digital printers
Properly RIP files utilizing Fiery XF and Onyx software for the Vutek and Oce
Ensure the printer operators have all necessary information prior to printing
Create digital cut files for digital cutting machines
Follow protocol for setting up prepress work by defined date
Learn and apply Lean tools and initiatives.
Assist in the development of best work practices to create efficiency and accuracy
Job Requirements
Successful candidates should be customer focused, highly motivated, results oriented, flexible and effective communicators. Must be able to read and follow directions in English.
Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator. Previous experience with digital printing and Onyx RIP software is a plus.
Education Requirements
Candidates must have a college degree in Graphic Arts preferred, and 1-2 years relevent experience.
