Seeking individual with strong background in optical thin film coatings, sputtering, or PVD able to develop a process for new products and coating projects and interface with an equipment manufacturer to determine equipment requirements based on capabilities of machinery.
Activities:
Work in the R&D group performing product and process development, define project needs and meet with representatives from equipment suppliers.
Provide specifications and project technical standards to third party suppliers to establish requirements for sputtering activities.
Evaluate capabilities of recommended machinery, test prototypes and pass or fail based on project standards and DOE requirements.
Requirements:
Degree in Material Science, Engineering, Physics, Optics, or related field.

years optical coating production and knowledge of PVD, sputtering or E-Beam processes.
