Summary: Prepare applications, specifications and marketing strategy for new business as well as the remarketing needs for the commercial lines department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

NEW BUSINESS:
Make client contact and help gather underwriting information
Set up files
Quote and negotiate premium with various carriers
Prepare proposals
Prepare applications
Process new business with carrier
Help check new policies for accuracy
Discuss new account with assigned Account Executive
REMARKET REQUESTS:
Run various reports
Gather additional underwriting information from Account Executive or client
Quote and negotiate premium with appropriate carriers
Prepare proposal
Prepare applications
Process new business with carrier
GENERAL:
Maintain marketing logs
Maintain new business logs
Maintain renewal business logs
Maintain current changes in carrier guidelines and websites
Attend carrier meetings
Maintain relationships with company underwriters
Remarket accounts and/or policies as requested by mgmt
Qualifications:

EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
Minimum five to seven years experience in a comparable position handling various types of coverages.
Must be computer literate with good Word and Excel skills.
Detail oriented
Experience with Standard E&S and Wholesale markets
Brokers License required

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
