JOB TITLE: MAGTF IO Planner

JOB DESCRIPTION AND
Responsibilities:
Primary Tasks
Assist MCIOC to develop and establish the ability to conduct IO planning in support of deployed MAGTFs, from CONUS/OCONUS or forward deployed areas, and to other organizations as needed.
Conduct responsive IO analysis, planning and targeting support to augment designated commands during home station training, exercises, and deployments.
Conduct planning using various processes (e.g. Joint Operation Planning and Execution System (JOPES), Marine Corps Planning Process (MCPP) and Military Decision Making Process (MDMP)).
Provide dedicated and concurrent support at MCIOC, Quantico VA and at MARFOR South, Tampa FL. Planning support shall be regionally focused on: CENTCOM/ SOUTHCOM, PACOM/ NORTHCOM, and AFRICOM/ EUCOM.
Plan and de-conflict tasks, actions, activities, and priorities in coordination with MCIOC Operations and in support of MCIOC mission, priorities and guidance
Attend and participate in MCIOC weekly staff meetings, working groups, conferences and operational planning teams as applicable to IO planning
Coordinate, conduct and support deployments for Mobile Training Teams
Coordinate support requests from the Marine Corps Operating Forces as directed by Operations Officers/Capabilities Section Head
Coordinate support for ongoing, planned and future operations and exercises (including CUX) for the MCIOC Mobile Training Teams (MTT)
Conduct and provide regional reach-back support to deployed IO Planning Teams (IOPT), Expeditionary MISO Detachments (EMD), and MTT
Secondary Tasks - Assist Training Specialist (Sustainment, Certification and Validation):
Attend MAGTF, (Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) and Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF)) Planning Conferences for MCIOC at Camp Lejeune, NC, Camp Pendleton, CA, and Okinawa
Provide support to the MCTL and METL Conferences as related to IO
Develop IO and MISO Master Scenario Events Lists to support MAGTF Training events up to MEF level
Provide planning and exercise evaluation support to Mission Rehearsal Exercise (MRX), Command Post Exercise (CPX), and MEU level pre-deployment series training including Rapid Response Planning Process (R2P2), Amphibious Squadron MEU Integration Exercise (PMINT), Realistic Urban Training (RUT), Composite Training Unit Exercise (COMPTUEX), Certification Exercise (CERTEX)
Perform as white cell member during MEU and MEF training events
Attend Course Curriculum Review Board (CCRB) events for IO related courses
Develop IO and MISO MESLs for training events in coordination with Marine Air Ground Task Force Staff Training Program (MSTP), Expeditionary Warfare Training Group, Atlantic (EWTGLANT), Expeditionary Warfare Training Group Pacific (EWTGPAC), Special Operations Training Group (SOTG) I MEF, II MEF and III MEF
Provide IO related input to the T&R manuals and conferences
Provide support to the MCIOC Combined Unit Exercise (CUX), from exercise design through execution and assessment
Provide support to MCIOC home-station training requirements, (e.g. individual and collective, sustainment, certification and validation)
REQUIRED SKILLS AND
Qualifications:
Security Clearance: Possess a current TS/SCI security clearance
Bachelors' Degree in related field.
3-5 years of experience in planning & executing information operations.
Competent Information Operations analysis experience.
Required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Must possess solid analytical skills in forecasting and anticipating needs and capabilities.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations under stress.
Strong interpersonal skills requiring the ability to resolve conflicting interests and obtain cooperation.
Must have excellent verbal and written communications skill set.
