Position Summary
The Development Associate I (Temp) is responsible for performing assigned experimental tasks to support the development and optimization of manufacturing processes or analytical/characterization methods for company biotherapeutic candidates. The Development Associate I will work in collaboration with other members of Process Development and Analytical Sciences.
Principal Responsibilities
Conduct experimental studies to develop, optimize or qualify manufacturing processes or analytical/characterization methods for biotherapeutic candidates (40%)
Execute experimental studies to support manufacturing process development or analysis of therapeutic proteins (40%)
Document study results in notebooks, forms, and technical reports (10%)
Assist in laboratory management including ordering and maintenance (10%)
Qualifications
A successful candidate will typically have 6
months of experience working in a relevant laboratory setting
0-2 years of protein purification experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical /biotechnology industry
Direct involvement in protein purification, process development or manufacturing is preferred
Proficiency with various MS Office programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Education
A successful candidate will typically hold a BS degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university.

Scientific Inquisitiveness: Understands background of assigned technical tasks
Communication skills: Discusses work with supervisor and coworkers; Can draft technical documents with templates
Technical expertise: Conducts assigned routine tasks in the laboratory with supervision

Ownership: Works with supervisor to ensure assigned tasks are completedEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
