Flooring Installation and Technical Specialist

Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in the flooring installation field comprised of practical installation experience, training/teaching experience, and/or inspection services. Must also be a Certified Flooring Inspector from an accredited provider. Must have computer skills, ability to write technical reports, conduct product and technical presentations to small or large groups.
Claims Process: review claims daily to determine reason/cause for customer's concern. Make recommendation as to the proper action the company should take by way of approving/denying the claim based on findings. May also recommend having the job inspected by an independent inspection company. Once inspection report is received, the Technical Specialist will make the final written recommendation to the company's Claims Processor to approve or deny the claim.
Certification Program - work closely with technical team in developing an installation and certification program to train and qualify professional installers on the proper methods of installation for all the company's flooring products.
Installation Manual - work closely with technical team to develop a comprehensive installation manual with these and other fundamental topics:
- Product knowledge - a detailed description of all product components, functions, and benefits of each layer
-Pre Installation Essentials - flatness of sub floor, RH, temperature, acclimation of flooring, etc.
- Step by step installation procedure, tips, staggering, balancing a room, cutting around fixed products, etc.
- Plank Replacement
- Care and maintenance
Product Testing - Test new and existing products and provide findings to management from a technical and installation point of view i.e. ease of installation, installation recommendations, measurements such as gapping, proud edging, visuals, structural integrity, packaging, recommendations for adhesives, cleaners, underlayments and any other pertinent information. Work closely with independent labs to perform all necessary technical testing and record all findings.
Installation Instructions - Work closely with technical service team in developing standardized installation instructions of current and new products.
Technical and Installation Support - based on expertise and experience in the installation and technical field provide assistance to Customer Service Personnel, answer customer questions and concerns related to installation, plank replacement, maintenance, etc.
Product Testing - as requested by management have product tested as per ASTM by an independent testing lab.
Installation and Technical Presentations - as per supervisor's requested travel with the Sales team to conduct Technical and Installation presentations.
Travel - May be required to travel from time to time as dispatched by the Director of Technical Services. Travel may be required for:
- Pro Active jobsite visits to train/educate contractors and installers on the proper techniques and requirements for a successful installation
-Post Installation jobsite inspections to identify, measure, photograph, and report contributing factors causing to floor to not perform.
-Conducting installation training courses on behalf of our distributors or on behalf of the company
-Trade shows in which the company may be participating
-Conducting training with external inspection services
-Other travel as needed and as directed by the Director of Technical ServicesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
