Systems engineering position as part of a team that supports the design, development, test, and integration of complex, specialized hardware/software systems installed on ground and airborne ISR platforms. Interfaces with other systems engineering, flight line test, product development, and project engineering personnel to understand new baseline functionality. Plans and executes integration testing in a systems integration laboratory and on airborne and ground based platforms. Verifies and validates new baseline functionality while ensuring legacy functionality still works as intended. Follows existing standards to document system testing status and anomalies with the system hardware and software. Verifies fixes to anomalies. Interfaces with customer personnel to ensure their satisfaction with system performance. Works with management to develop and adhere to schedules and budgets required to accomplish assigned work. Provides regular status updates for ongoing work efforts to keep management and customer informed.
Requirements
10 years directly related experience. Must be able to work occasional overtime, as required. Candidate must have five or more years experience as an operator on one or more ISR aircraft variations. Candidate must have a solid working knowledge of airborne ISR systems, missions, and operations. Working knowledge of the airborne capabilities extension system is highly desired. Must be able to understand hardware and software requirements documents. Must be able to understand, write, and implement systems test plans and procedures. Good verbal and written communications skills are essential.
