Planning and directing business unit activities to emphasize safety goals and accomplish on-schedule, cost effective, quality products;
Establishing and managing the departmental budget;
Developing methods of improving current production practices, and studies for improvements in processes, equipment and costs;
Coordinating plans to best utilize personnel;
Assisting in the selection of new personnel, providing training, and conducting performance evaluations;
Maintaining compliance with government regulations, company policy, safety standards and good housekeeping practices;
Supervising the justification, purchase and install of capital equipment;
This position will receive 3-4 direct reports and 30-35 indirect reports.
Education: 4-year degree required, MBA preferred; Business, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines preferred.
Skills Required:
5
years of experience in a manufacturing environment;
Industrial Engineering and purchasing experience;
Proven technical and personnel leadership skills.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
