Job Duties: Test and qualify EMC software and hardware solutions and 3rd party products. Install various operating systems, adapters, updates, and configure hosts within a SAN with multiple storage arrays. Integrate software from EMC and verify interoperability and data consistency. Develop and execute test suites, analyze the results, report findings, and achieve resolution for any failed results. Generate product documentation. Install and administer multiple systems/environments. Debug and document issues found in product documentation. Develop and execute test plans including test cases and lab configurations. Participate in test functionality review meetings. Troubleshoot test failures to determine if the issue is a test, product or integration. Install and administer multiple systems/environments. Configure several of the EMC or 3rd party vendor products deployed in the test configuration. Respond to customer escalations and drive resolution to complex customer issues.
Job Requirements: Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or a closely related field such as Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Information Systems. Foreign equivalent degrees are acceptable. In addition to degree, position requires at least 4 years of post-degree experience in all of the following: performing quality assurance testing or integration testing for SAN and NAS; using Fibre Channel, iSCSI, GigE, FCoE, Ethernet protocols analyzers; configuring and managing enterprise storage arrays, creating RAID groups, storage pools, and LUN masking on arrays; managing fabric SAN, performing SAN zoning, and fan-in/fan-out; installing various operating systems, device drivers and patches, and their relevant multipathing/failover software; installing host bus adapters and their device drivers; troubleshooting enterprise storage issues and performing root cause analysis; troubleshooting Microsoft, ESX, Linux, Solaris attached with storage systems; managing hosts using ESXcli, PowerCLI commands and scripting; implementing Linux clustering or ESX clustering, virtualization and NFS; and, implementing Microsoft clusters with HyperV including storage features, CIFS, and services like Active Directory, DNS, and Exchange/SQL Server applications.
