Overview:
Due to growth, we are seeking a Sr. Logistics Analyst to manage the inbound and outbound domestic and international logistics functions for our Warehouse Facility in Romeoville. In this role, you will recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, and frequency that will effectively reduce logistic costs while maintaining or improving customer satisfaction. The candidate we seek will create and implement standard policies and have experience with process improvement methodologies.
Responsibilities:
Develop system to optimize full truckload freight (minimize LTL freight) on a daily basis based on routes to all customer locations.
Establish and monitor supply chain-based performance measurement systems.
Train shipping department personnel in roles and responsibilities regarding domestic and global logistics strategies.
Be proficient in understanding logistics cost drivers and management of KPIs to meet or exceed targets.
Maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, customer service logs, and training & safety records.
Develop and implement strategies for minimizing logistics lead times (both internally and externally) for all goods, while enhancing customer service.
Lead cross-functional efforts to insure customer satisfaction while minimizing freight cost.
Support/implement associate performance management system, including identification and achievement of goals.
Establish safety procedures to assure a clean, organized, safe work environment is promoted and maintained.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field required
Minimum 3-5 years progressive experience in a warehouse/distribution environment required
Minimum 3 years supervisory experience required
Demonstrated experience in logistics strategies and Lean/Six Sigma or similar process improvement methodologies is a plus
Experience with Import/Export laws and procedures is preferred
Strong computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Power Point
Strong communication skills that include the ability to make informal and formal presentations
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs required
Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plusEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
