An independent, full-service laboratory located about 13 miles from Aurora, CO. With over 30
years of experience, this laboratory provides donor screening and eligibility testing that includes, but is not
limited to histocompatibility, serology, nucleic acid, confirmatory, microbiology, molecular biology and
cell biology. Great opportunity to work for one of the premier transplant medicine reference laboratories in the

Summary
The Department Manager will be responsible for overseeing the pre-analytical department, which
includes specimen processing and logistics in accordance with all regulatory agencies including but not
limited to CLIA, CAP and ISO. This individual is accountable for financial and budgetary oversight, as well
as ensuring safety, compliance and productivity of the department. The individual will also work cross-
functionally to ensure the necessary steps are taken to provide accurate, timely results in a cost
effective manner.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Significant duties include, but are not limited to, managing and developing a successful, professional
team by mentoring, coaching, staff training, recruitment, and performance management; works
collaboratively to develop long and short term planning tactics, strategies and goals in conjunction with
overall company mission; implements and modifies plans as necessary; manages the daily operations to
ensure defined processes resulting in compliant, accurate test results, and drives continuous
improvement and implements efficient and effective changes to processes, equipment, facility and
supplies.
Minimum
Qualifications:
? BS, BA or equivalent with related work experience
? 5 years clinical or industrial laboratory experience.
? Knowledge of cGXP compliance and requirements of a regulated laboratory environment.
? 1-2 years' experience working in a laboratory sample processing and/or logistics department.
Preferred
Experience:
? 1-2 years' previous management experience.
? MS or MBA
