Key Competencies and Skills:
Proficiency to identify, plan, implement, and evaluate occupational therapy treatment for school-aged children Provide sensory integration, motor patterns and awareness of the external environmentDevelop/improve individual's ability to independently perform tasksServes as member of the IEP team for students with occupational therapy concernsFacilitate goals and objectives per child's educational planCounsel parents, students and teachers regarding the special occupational therapy needs of the childMaintain appropriate recordsWork in coordination with school personnel and parents to develop appropriate programs for eligible studentsAbility to effectively communicate with teachers, administrators, and parentsEnsure all services are performed in accordance with state laws and regulationsPerform other OT duties/responsibilities required by the Program and within the scope of licensure and/or certification
Credentials and
Experience:
State licensure or ability to obtain required licensure Experience working in school programs or with pediatric populations is preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
