Quick Tanks, Inc. manufactures welded steel water tanks, galvanized storage tanks and custom tanks for the water treatment industry. As a manufacturer of code and non-code pressure vessels, our main focus is supplying OEM builders of water treatment systems.
Job Description:
o This position is located in Kendallville, IN.
o Work within a team environment to lead design engineering and project management of customer projects.
o The successful candidate must possess the ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
o Successful candidate must be willing to become fully indoctrinated with the pressure vessel ASME standards within one year.
o Successful candidate should exhibit willingness to provide leadership and mentoring to less senior engineers and CO-OP students.
o Other duties include the preparation of various professional reports and documents such as pressure vessel ASME specifications, calculations and procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
o Preferred a Licensed Professional Engineer.
o More than 15 years as a practicing engineer with either a Bachelors or Master's Degree from an accredited university in Mechanical Engineering.
o Ability to interpret and apply DOT, API, ANSI, ASME and owner regulations, codes and standards
o Understanding of advanced engineering theories and principles.
o Understanding of advanced practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations and preparing and presenting recommendations.
Qualifications:
o Demonstrated familiarity and experience with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel, API, OSHA, ASTM and ANSI Code requirements
o Develop/maintain company design standards, ASME code calculations, review and verify, and ASME flanges and bolting.
o Demonstrated ability and experience with welding and manufacturing of pressure vessels
o Demonstrated familiarity with non-destructive testing (RT, Ultrasonic and Magnetic Particle).
o Demonstrated organizational/planning skills, with ability to multi-task and set work priorities
o Demonstrated ability to develop simple engineering solutions to complex problems, while satisfying applicable ASME code requirements
o Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills with customers, supervision, engineering, sales and management personnel
o Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Office and other computer programs as applicable.
o Experience and demonstrated written and oral communications skills, including the ability to present information, facilitate meetings and provide direction to others.
o Experience in the water treatment, oil, gas or mining industries is preferred
Specific Requirements:
o Mandatory Hearing Protection Program
o Ability to satisfactorily meet the physical job requirements including walking, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, working in hot or cold temperatures, exposure to dust, exposure to noise, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
o Must pass respiratory physical, and be able to wear all required PPE (including but not limited to full- and half-face respirators and safety harness)
o Very limited weekends, holidays, overtime and callouts as needed
Working Conditions:
o Office and plant environment with exposures to hot and cold temperatures, noise, grinding dust, paint fumes, confined spaces, and extreme heights, working around pressurized, rotating, and energized equipment.
o Base work hours are dayshift, 8 hours per day; 5 days per week, additional overtime will be required to support projects and emergent problems.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
