Tier One Automotive Supplier Quality Engineer

Our client, located in Niles, Michigan, has an immediate need to fill the position of Tier One Automotive Supplier Quality Engineer.

Job Description
This Company manufactures custom automotive parts in high or low volume applications; large or small, out of quality steel, aluminum or stainless. These capabilities include:
o Rollforming: Capability to produce parts up to 54 in width with line speeds up to 60 ft/min.
o Stamping: Full line-up of presses with a tonnage range of 50 to 1200 tons.
o Fabrication: Full manufacturing and assembly capabilities up to 1 material.
o Tool Design: In-house tool design and build providing a One-Stop shop.
o Machining: Full CNC machining for parts up to 72 in X, 34 in Y, 30 in Z with a maximum weight of 4,000 lbs. We offer trunions to achieve 4th and 5th axis capabilities.

Duties and Responsibilities
They are seeking a dynamic individual for the position of Supplier Quality Engineer. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of involvement with new project launches utilizing APQP methods and documents such as FMEAs and Control Plans, conducting capability and gage R&R studies, performing PPAP submissions, conducting process & product audits, utilizing SPC and other related statistical methods, participating in product / process improvement teams, leading corrective / preventative action teams. In addition, experience, as a first responder to customer and supplier issues in a Tier 1 automotive environment is required. Knowledge of TS 16949 system requirements is highly desirable.

Qualifications
An extensive background in metal stamping, fabrications, welding, and assembly operations is required; along with a CQE and/or CQA certification. A Bachelor's Degree and / or ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in an automotive environment is highly desirable.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
