Production Control, Manager
Manufacturing automotive Tier- 1 supplier for Honda is seeking a Production Control, Manager to oversee all Project Management initiatives that fall outside of the day-to-day operations of M-Tek. Projects that are significant in scale but do not have a routine person or person(s) involved with managing the type of change.
Responsibilities:
Continuous Improvement
Overall management responsibility for the oversight of assigned projects and its project team for plant PC Continuous Improvement activity.
Work with Plant, PC and Corporate Management to identify and develop strategies for continuous improvement.
Establish and oversee standardized practices for PC management.
Lead PC Managers through Continuous Improvement process.
Capacity Management
Overall management responsibility for capacity management.
Identify and implement strategies for tool move activities that can provide cost benefit.
Logistics
Management of domestic and international logistics
Assess and oversee strategies to reduce overall costs as it relates to the use of 3rd party brokers for the purchasing of component parts.
General
Direct supervision of the activities of PC staff.
Must work in a safe manner in compliance with M-TEK policies and maintain an awareness of danger to themselves and others.
Support the implementation, achievement, and maintenance of the Quality and Environmental Policies and Procedures.
Must be able to work any shift and overtime as required to support the needs of the business.
Travel will be required (estimated 30%)
Other duties as necessary.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor of Science in Business related discipline or equivalent.
Experience:
Program management experience in automotive field or Project Management experience (3
years)/MFG Experience.
Logistics and Supply Chain experience in automotive
Skills:
Very good at problem solving and working well with others
An effective leader
Microsoft Office, Good communication skills
Analytical, mathematical, and thorough understanding of manufacturing automotive processes
