Youth Worker--Mentor Adolescents!

Responsibilities:
Assist in the classroom during school hours.
Provide supervision and assistance in activities of daily living for our residential students who live with us year-round.
Accompany and supervise students during activities such as going to the movies, visiting the zoo, going on walks, attending sporting events or taking a trip to a shopping mall.
Must be comfortable with caring and supporting individuals with challenging behaviors.
Assist each individual to acquire skills to live,learn and succeed in a less restrictive community.
Scheduled hours rotate 1st shift and 2nd shift, including every other weekend. Also have 3rd shift available. This means you get a variety of duties, including working in the classroom on weekdays, sharing in fun activities in the evenings and weekends, and helping our students settle in for a good night's sleep.
Qualifications:
o High School Diploma/GED required, Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Psychology,or Social Services fields preferred
o Experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred
o Demonstrated history of providing patience and compassion in previously held positions
o 21 years of age or older
o Valid WI driver's license with an acceptable driving record per company policy
o Paid training is included in order to achieve the understanding and confidence to be a successful staff member and role model for the children.
PAY:
$10.50/Hour or $11.50/Hour if you have a Bachelor's Degree
Plus an additional $1.00/Hour 3rd shift differential for hours between 10PM and 6AM
