Financial Controller


Well established South Dayton manufacturing company is seeking an energetic Controller with opportunity for career progression to V.P. Finance. This company has roughly 450 employees. The Controller will supervise an accounting team of three to five and report to the V.P. Finance.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Manage the Accounting activities of one location for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal monthly financial statements, annual budgets, forecasting and ad hoc reporting as needed.
Responsible for the overall planning, direction, control, reporting, and continuous improvement of the financial accounting function, accounting processes, and financial controls.
SAP experience is a must.
Oversee the activities of the accounting team, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, cash control and vendor management.
Oversee the activities of SAP standard cost accounting including managing bills of material, reviewing, setting and maintaining standard costs for materials and labor, analyzing production costs and making recommendations for improvement, oversight of physical inventory and inventory analysis, variance analysis and reporting as required.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and inter-company balances and journal entries and oversee monthly period close to ensure timely and accurate monthly reporting.
Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
Comply with group policies and procedures on SAP based Capex processes and reporting thereof.
In compliance with our Group internal audit standards, establish and maintain systems and controls which verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the company's value.
Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports as required.
Communicate with co-workers, management team, vendors, customers and others in a courteous and professional manner.
Conform with and abide by all company regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
Requirements:
With Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, a MBA or CPA or CMA certification is required.
Strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reporting and banking working knowledge.
Cost Accounting and inventory management experience in a Manufacturing environment.
Microsoft Suite knowledge and abilities, specifically strong Excel skills
Strong managerial abilities to motivate and lead accounting team.
Excellent attention to detail
Work experience in Public Accounting is a plus
SAP experience is requiredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
