Maintenance Supervisor
Mining and manufacturing company located in Hannibal, MO is seeking a full-time Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for the reduction of maintenance costs by improving equipment reliability through the implementation of the preventative and predictive maintenance program.
Specific Duties and
Responsibilities:
o Effectively supervise maintenance personnel in the repair, maintenance and installations that enable continuous plant operations.
o Plans, coordinates, and schedules so that personnel and required materials are available to maintain plant equipment
o Execute responsibilities in compliance with plant rules, MSHA regulations, company policies and the collective bargaining agreement
o Trains, evaluates, motivates and leads employees
o Ensures maintenance schedules, programs, quality initiatives, safety targets, efficiency metrics and other operational measurements are met
o Manages and directs outside contractors and ensures their compliance with plant rules and company policies
o Determine the causes of equipment failure through problem solving and root cause analysis
o Takes an active role in the budgeting process
o Creates and maintains a culture of continuous improvement, quality, high performance and process excellence
o Maintains accurate records in maintenance management system
o Provides off hours support to the maintenance function
o Other duties as assigned
Specific
Qualifications:
o Five plus years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor in an industrial setting (cement or mining experience is preferred)
o Extensive experience with preventative and predictive maintenance
o Extensive knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, piping, power transmission, compressed air and lubrication systems
o Experience in inventory management and preventative maintenance software systems
o Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
o Must be an effective communicator (verbal and written,) building rapport with all members of the team including external departments.
o Can-do attitude, positive outlook is must have
o Ability to lift and carry products and/or equipment of up to 50 lbs.
o Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or applicable experience in a closely related field is preferred
o Ability to pass pre-employment screening which includes physical, background check and ten (10) panel drug screen
