POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Under general supervision, provides design, technical and administrative guidance required in the area of tooling technology and its impact on the manufacturing process. Must have experience with NX/UGII Cad program
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Recommends, develops and designs standard and to support manufacturing. Formulating machining parameters for numerical control and manual operations. Also develops tools and parameters for grinding, benching, and assembly operations.
2. Orders first time tooling, assigns stocking number and establishes crib stocking levels to support production needs.
3. Establishes grind/reconditioning standards for all types of cutting tools.
4. Maintains a constant awareness of the specialties and capabilities of a wide variety of firms supplying the required tooling. Recommends the selection of firms to supply the tooling required to produce machined parts, and related components.
5. Working in conjunction with tool design, recommends and/or designs jigs, fixtures, and machine setups for new or improved operations.
6. Reviews customer prints and recommends changes in these designs to improve their producability.
7. Makes timely investigations at various vendor locations to ensure conformance to required standards and time schedules. Recommends methods of resolving manufacturing problems as they arise.
8. Evaluates malfunctions of existing tooling and recommends corrective action.
9. Estimates the cost of engineering changes on tools assigned to this position and completes reports accordingly.
10. Maintains status on all affected tooling projects and provides this information to appropriate personnel.
11. Performs a variety of special manufacturing assignments involving efficiency analysis, methods engineering, tooling repair, and other problem-solving functions.
EDUCATION
Requires a 4-year degree in mechanical/manufacturing engineering, math or computer science, or equivalent.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Requires 5 years experience in manufacturing engineering, and tool engineering and CAD/CAM in an aerospace manufacturing environment. Extensive experience in conventional and N/C machining is required. CAD/CAM experience is desirable.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
