At Precyse, our Cancer Registry Managers support the health networks, hospitals, clinical trial/pharmaceutical companies and physician groups that utilize our services to manage the cancer registry, support the cancer program and maintain the cancer registry database and reporting requirements for their organization. With Precyse, you will have the support of more than 135 ODM colleagues across the nation as you support activities to successfully meet the standards set by the American College of Surgeons/Commission on Cancer such as helping to prepare clients for ACoS surveys, conducting medical record analysis, data abstraction and overall data management.
The Oncology Data Support Technician performs clerical support to the Cancer Registry functions as directed.
Job Requirements:
Initiate and/or maintain follow-up and/or treatment information for all cancer cases in registry in accordance with the Hospital and Commission on Cancer requirements.
Assist with case finding if required.
Assist in maintaining data quality assurance.
Prepare productivity reports as requested by Team Leader.
Assist with all other Cancer Program and Registry activities as needed such as abstracting, cancer conferences, follow-up, TNM letters, etc
High School Diploma.
Courses in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
Medical records experience preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Office preferred.
Excellent office skills with knowledge and use of computers.
