Location: Walla Walla, WA
Schedule: Monday-Friday Full Time Early Morning Shift (3:30am - 12pm)

Job Responsibilities
As a Histology Technician, you will perform daily, routine, and specialized histology techniques and procedures, including: embedding, microtomy, grossing, processing, h&e staining, special staining, immunohistochemistry (IHC), and equipment maintenance.
Additional responsibilities of the Histotechnologist include:
o Preparing histologic slides from tissue sections for microscopic examination and diagnosis by pathologists
o Staining tissue specimens with dyes or other chemicals to make cell details visible under microscopes
o Cutting sections of body tissues for microscopic examination using microtomes
o Mounting tissue specimens on glass slides

Job Requirements
Successful candidates for the Histology Technician should have experience with IHC and have the ability to work a third shift. Someone with ASCP certification as a Histotechnician or Histotechnologist would be a good fit for this role.
Additional requirements of the Histology Technician role include:
o Associates or bachelor's degree in life sciences, preferred
o 2-4 years of experience as a Histotechnician or Histotechnologist
o ASCP HT or HTL certified, QIHC, preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
