Quality Control Manager

QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER:
The QA Manager's main role is to lead and direct the quality assurance function from raw materials to finished goods. This position assures a consistent foundation for quality systems, continuous improvement, and client/customer satisfaction that result in product excellence.
Candidate will oversee and implement food safety programs that adhere to SQF practices, maintain compliance with all operating procedures, assist with facilitation of all auditing and facility inspections, comply with corporate policies and comply with all international, federal, state and local laws. This is a hands-on position and will directly supervise other members in the Quality Assurance Department.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND MAJOR DUTIES:
Be able to implement site specific protocols and procedures, interface with the management team as related to quality assurance issues. Establish and maintain programs that assure the production of high quality safe products and for leading and managing all aspects of the Plant Food Safety and Quality programs. These programs include but are not limited to:
o SQF, GMP, HACCP, SOP, SSOP, Microbiological control policies, Pest Control Programs
o Food safety and food quality audit policies including third party audits
o Training programs and food analytical testing procedures.
o Kosher, and organic programs
Be a hands-on manager possessing the skills and fortitude to work in a fast paced, challenging food packaging environment. He / She will have experience in the food industry, strong process improvement background and will have excellent leadership skills to resolve quality issues and address facility and process issues that may lead to a food safety concerns
EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
o BS degree in food science or related fields (Preferred).
o GFSI (BRC, SQF, ISO 22,000 ) or equivalent sector audit certification
o Minimum 3 years supervising/managing employees, including resource allocation and prioritization required.
o 7 to 10 years of similar work experience
o Prior knowledge or experience with food processing / packaging operations.
o Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations.
o Experience with regulatory requirements at manufacturing level
o Exceptional business acumen and effective communication skills, both internally including with executive staff as well as externally with
regulatory inspectors, auditors, suppliers, customers, industry members.
o Strong ability to handle complexity and judgment in order to quickly problem solve and make judicious decisions regarding product quality and
safety.
o Must possess working knowledge and capabilities to effectively utilize Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
o Must be team-oriented and have excellent coaching, training, developing and planning skills and abilities.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
