Wisconsin: Our client is seeking to hire an IT Director for personal lines P&C. Minimum of 7
years' experience managing a information technology operation for an insurance company, Ideal candidate would not require relocation assistance.

o Contribute to strategic and operational business goals as a member of the Specialty division management team
o Proactively identify opportunities to align technology initiatives with the business unit strategies.
o Work with senior business leadership and Senior IT Director of Specialty to cost benefit and control project delivery activities as they relate to the selection, acquisition, development, and installation of major information systems/releases
o Responsible for supporting production applications, designing applications and architectures, and maintaining development standards and procedures
o Ensure Governance Minimum Standards (including but not limited to adherence to SDLC, COBIT framework and SOS) are understood, communicated to staff and adhered to, including capturing and reporting metrics in support of the Report Card
o Propose, track, and control the Specialty division information technology annual budget to meet objectives from both the Specialty division business leadership and the CIO in the most cost effective fashion possible. Responsible for ensuring Specialty IT costs are transparent to the business, working in conjunction with the Governance Finance team. Responsible for developing cost drivers that support the annual budget process as well as quarterly updates to the Senior Business leaders.
o Ensure all Specialty division IT activity is consistent with governance and control requirements as defined by the executive leadership
o Ensure continuous and satisfactory delivery of Specialty division IT services through the definition and oversight of service level agreements, where defined with business leadership and broader IT organization
o Supervise recruitment, development, retention, and organization of all managed staff in accordance with corporate budgetary and policy requirements, including off shore resources. Resources are geographically dispersed and moderate travel is required.
Position Requirements:
o Minimum of 7-10 years' experience managing and/or directing an information technology operation for a financial services or insurance company
o Experience managing a significant IT budget and demonstrated long-term ability to control costs
o Strong business acumen with excellent execution and delivery skills ideally at a cross divisional/line-of-business level
o Proven track record of successful delivery in a large, complex and matrix managed environment.
o Excellent interpersonal skills with strong written and oral communication skills
o Proven experience as a change agent transforming inefficiencies and conflicting technologies into a well-organized, cohesive technology platform
o Experience working in an acquisition minded environment; the ability to scale technologies, people and process with the growth of the Company
o Experience in consumer-based web applications, multi-tiered architectures and enterprise application integration.
o Successful experiences with agile practices are a must
o Desired candidates should be versed of project management methodologies and applications lifecycle management.
o Insurance knowledge is a plus, but not required
o Experience in .Net and Policy Administration systems such as Duck Creek and Insurity preferred

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
