Weapons System Integration Engineer

Qualis Corporation is seeking a Weapons System Integration Engineer to support integration of Advanced Weapons or SDB 2 onto developmental and legacy platforms. The qualified candidate will provide engineering, technical, and analytical support to Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Functional Teams - Provide Air Vehicle Weapon Integration for the Joint Strike Fighter Program Office (JSFPO) at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Role and Responsibilities
Provide technical, scientific, analytical, and engineering services for design, development, and certification procedures for USAF aircraft and stores.
Provide support and recommendation for the qualification and approval requirements for weapons and stores.
Candidate will review system contractor proposals and engineering drawings using engineering knowledge to evaluate the proposed design against JSF program requirements.
Candidate must have the ability to work effectively with weapons/stores manufactures, in-service support organizations, weapons IPTs, qualification, approving, and acceptance authorities as well as all related JSF IPTs.
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's of Science of Engineering required.
5 years directly related experience working with USAF ordnance.
The candidate must have experience working in an integrated team environment.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
Must be able to render concise reports, summaries, and formal oral presentations to senior leaders.
Must be able to work well with supervisors, customers, and co-workers.
The candidate must have excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to work effectively alone, unsupervised, or within a group.
Preferred Skills
Prior experience in supporting JSFPO or AFLCMC Armaments Directorate Advanced Weapons of SDB 2 program.
Direct experience in the integration of weapons for Air Force systems.
An understanding of Armaments Directorate specific procedures and processes.
Able to interface and communicate well with Government customer.
Clearance
Active Secret Clearance required, with eligibility for SAR.
Travel
Travel Requirement:
10%
Must be able to travel and responsibly operate rental cars within the Continental United States (CONUS).
