As Western New York's largest, safest and most advanced Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery (Level 3 Nursery), we care for premature and critically ill infants with the most advanced and state-of-the-art medical therapies available:
Advanced ENT procedures
Bedside surgery
Extra corporeal membrane oxygenation, nitric oxide inhalation
High frequency ventilation
Laparoscopic surgery
Retinal surgery
Surfactant replacement
Non-invasive ventilation
Whole body cooling for HIE
The NICU staff includes attending neonatologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered nurses, licensed respiratory therapists, a psychologist, family service counselors, and physical and occupational therapists. A nutritionist and clinical pharmacists participate daily in bedside work round. A multi-disciplinary team leads our exceptional patient care initiatives which includes, exceeding the national benchmark for mortality rates over the past 5 years and zero ventilator associated pneumonias in 2014.
Team consisting of nurse practitioners and licensed respiratory therapists, provides ambulance, helicopter and fixed wing transports to our 8 surrounding counties and transports well over 300 critical and often premature infants annually.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
