Senior Estimator
Job Responsibilities
Design, document and specify products for copper and fiber cable plants including creating layouts, splice plans and test plans
Interpret RFP/RFQ and Customer requirements, codes, standards and best practices in order to develop and document a structured cabling plant including pathways, spaces and cable plant requirements
Research appropriate products to be used during all phases of a project and ability to coordinate with internal and external resources to determine cost-effective and compliant products and solutions
Develop estimates using Excel and Access-based tools
Job Qualifications
BS Degree in a related field or 10 years of experience in the telecom field
Prefer current RCDD certification
5
years of experience with network infrastructure design is required including documentation, estimating, and specialization in fiber plant design
2
years of experience with structured cabling installation and/or project management is a plus
Excellent MS Office skills to include strong Excel and Visio are required. AutoCAD is a plus!Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
