Machine Operator, Tapping Machine Operator - Hardware manufacturer seeks 5 Tapping Machine Operators to operate the tapping machines at their production facility in Savanna, IL. There are positions available on the 1st and 2nd shift.

These are full-time, temp-to-hire positions where you will earn a competitive salary, based on your experience. The facility is climate-controlled with an employee lunchroom that has a microwave, refrigerator, and vending machines for your use. Personal protection equipment will be provided to you by the company.

You will be responsible for:
Understanding, interpreting, and responding immediately to SPC chart variances.
Assuring that accurate records of production and downtime are maintained.
Performing minor machine maintenance, including greasing, and adding lubricants and materials.
Using a variety of hand tools.
Checking the quality of parts using the correct gauges.
Filling out first piece sample tags and rejected material notification forms.

To be considered, you must have at least 2 years of tapping machine operating experience, a working knowledge of all tapping machines, and a High School Diploma or GED.
