POSITION OVERVIEW
Our client is a leading global manufacturer of highly engineered mechanical components used in the Construction and Mining industries. The position will be based at our client's global headquarters in the western suburbs of Chicago. Qualified candidates must currently reside in the Chicagoland area because relocation is not authorized for this position. POSITION DUTIES
Manage vendor relationships to ensure adherence to service levels.
Ensure employee and vendor issue resolution in accordance with plan provisions.
Coordinate all administrative, audit and compliance activities, processes and procedures to ensure compliance with plan provisions and federal, state and local requirements and regulations.
Ensure that all benefit plan documents, SPDs, SARs are current and distributed as necessary.
Lead annual renewal and open enrollment process.
Install approved new plans and changes by preparing announcement material, booklets, and other media for communicating new plans to employees.
Conduct employee meetings and arrange for enrollment of employees in optional plans.
Coordinate and execute benefit documentation such as original and amended plan texts, benefit agreements and insurance policies.
Instruct vendors, trustees, and other administrative agencies outside the company to effect changes in benefit program.
Participate on Benefit Committee, coordinate meetings, maintain accurate records, and minutes.
Partner with Workers' Compensation carrier to close out claims and mitigate risk to the organization through return-to-work job evaluations.
Participate on Wellness Committee and ensure team activities align with benefit strategy.
Provide leadership, guidance and facilitation to our safety committee; ensure compliance with all OSHA regulations through involvement with safety sub-teams and workers' compensation vendor.
Assume responsibility for recruiting and selecting great people for positions across the global organization, from entry-level to senior management roles ensuring compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) requirements.
Maintain appropriate records throughout the recruiting process.
Assist managers to resolve employee relation issues.
Manage the uniform application of policies and procedures and the application of discipline to preserve positive employee relations and compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
Investigate and resolve employee complaints.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Human Resources or Organizational Development
3+ years of experience administering health and retirement benefits plans
PHR/SPHR certification is preferred or must be obtained within two years in position
Strong computer skills in MS Office, Internet, and HRIS programs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High level of confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy
Experience in a global manufacturing environment is a plus
Must be willing to travel 5-10%
Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent ResidentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
