CNC Specialists
Freeport, Pennsylvania
As a CNC Specialist, you will consistently produce quality parts and fixtures within established time frames, while adhering to system guidelines. To accomplish this, you will set up and operate machines for optimal performance, make routine checks and adjust machinery as necessary. Frequently, you will work other departments on special projects. Honed expertise will help you identify, diagnose and provide workable solutions to problems or issues that arise, and offer valuable input on operational improvements. Whats more, you may be asked to assist in the training of other employees. This position is a 50-hour workweek with two, 10-hour shifts available.
To qualify, you should hold a high school diploma (or a GED) and have 5 years of experience with CNC machines (Heidenhain CNC 530 or higher or FANUC-based controls). An ability to hold tolerances within .0001, along with capabilities of reading and understanding blueprints, and programming CNC machines is necessary. Additionally, you must have a full grasp of cutters and be able to determine correct feeds. To succeed in this role, youll need to be able to communicate, both verbally and in writing, and work effectively as part of a team. Lastly, the wearing of earplugs, safety glasses and shoes is mandatory.
