Engineering Manager
JOB
Summary: Manage all company engineering activities including support of the manufacturing operations.
Direct the development and implementation of improvement plans in all areas, including product design; injection molding process control; product labeling, packaging and assembly; and tooling management.
ESSENTIAL
Responsibilities:
oManagement, direction, and mentoring of engineering department personnel to include: Tooling, Design, Maintenance, Processing and Project engineering.
oManagement and direction of product development and new product launch activities.
oManagement and direction of engineering team to maintain existing assets with a high focus on prioritizing initiatives to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
oInterface with equipment and tooling suppliers to identify cost effective solutions to improve:
Injection molding productivity
Asset preventative maintenance
Product assembly
Product marking and/or labeling
Product packaging
Material handling
Tool change and repair
oDevelop and manage capital expenditure initiatives relating to facility and equipment.
oPerform all other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM
Qualifications:
oBachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering.
o7-10 years of relevant industry experience, preferably in injection molding.
o5 years of management experience in an engineering environment.
oAbility to multitask on multiple projects simultaneously.
oAbility to work under minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
