Summary:
The Blood Bank Information System Analyst, under the direction of the Transfusion/Tissue Service Manager is responsible for the implementation, development, programming, and overall support and troubleshooting of the Blood Bank Information System and any interfaced clinical systems. The Blood Bank Information System Analyst will be responsible for the coordination of test plans, engaging the end users in the development of test plans, documenting changes/updates to the test plan and making necessary changes to the system. Acts as a liaison between the end-user community and the department.


Minimum Requirements:

Education/
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology from an accredited medical technology program (preferred), or
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry or Information Technology or
Associates degree with 1 year of relevant healthcare or relevant information technology systems experience

Experience:
Minimum of 2 years previous varied Laboratory experience, or equivalent relevant healthcare experience is required.
Previous experience implementing and supporting clinical information systems preferred
Previous direct experience with a LIS is desired.
Experience with word processing and data base software programs is required.
Experience with project management preferred.

Licensure/Certificates:
Licensure by NYS SED or licensure eligible with a limited permit or limited license as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist preferred.
Must have a driver's license.

Analytical skills to translate clinical workflow in to the functional build process.
Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks is essential. Strong customer service and user support skills.
Ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to express opportunities for improvement and innovative ways to improve the use of the clinical systems supported
Ability to teach computer applications to people with varying degrees of computer experience.
Ability to facilitate complex workflow discussions and collaborate to conclusion.
Ability to advocate on behalf of Bassett Healthcare to the vendors and drive to solutions and feel comfortable escalating timely both internal to Bassett as well as external with the vendor
Minimum requirements must include a basic knowledge of principles of software design and modification, basic computer skills, and a basic knowledge of MS Office suite.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
