Summary:
The Sales Associate's primary responsibility is to drive sales by consistently providing Miner's customers with an environment where customers want to shop and employees want to work. An enthusiastic, positive and supportive attitude is essential. Sales Associates are also responsible for providing legendary customer service, merchandise product and support the store management team. The Sales Associate in paint is responsibly for guiding customers towards products that will help them best complete their paint projects.
Major
Responsibilities:
The major responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:
Ensure each customer receives outstanding service which follows the S.A.L.E.S. process and by mystery shop standards.
Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements.
Execute the daily operational, day-to-day goals and priorities assigned by store management.
Actively participate and assist in the training and development of peers.
Uphold merchandising and store cleanliness standards.
Participate in the processing of new shipments and help the team to keep the receiving and back stock area clean and organized.
Responsive of safety issues.
Conscious of shoplifting activity.
Assist customers in locating merchandise in store, on ACENET, as well as, processing special orders and promote add-on sales.
Solicit customers to open an Ace Rewards card.
Minimum Requirements:
The minimum requirements for this position include:
Education/Training:
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
College preferred or vocational training.
Possess product knowledge of hardware related products or a willingness to learn.
Experience:
Previous experience in a retail environment either in marketing, sales, or back office.
Previous experience in a paint department preferred.
Skills/Knowledge:
Knowledge of retail computer systems, MS Word and Excel a plus.
A commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction.
Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication skills, exceptional organizational ability, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business.
Physical Requirements:
The minimum physical requirements for this position include but are not limited to:
Must be able to lift 40 pounds frequently to load and unload customer orders.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff and customers a normal in-person and phone conversation.
Ability to bend and twist, push and pull, stoop, and kneel.
Ascend and descend ladder.
Ability to work at heights.
License and Certificates:
Lumber and Nursery staff must obtain or possess the following:
Must possess a current valid California Driver's License.
Upon hire must be willing to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
Rate of Pay:
DOE, starting at $10.
Benefits: Full Time employees are eligible to participate in benefits, including medical, dental, and vision. Full-Time Employees also begin accruing Paid Time Off Accruals immediately upon hire and can contribute to the 401k after 1 year of employment.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
