Summary:
The primary purpose of the position is to lead the Manufacturing Support function, achieve company and departmental goals and objectives, and supporting the continued growth and success of our client.
The responsible person will develop and modify processes to significantly improve the performance of the Operations.
Assist in the development of new products, including the design and manufacturing processes.
Additionally, the position will lead the effort to implement lean manufacturing and process excellence.
Duties & Essential Job Functions:
Manage the Mfg Support team; Manufacturing Engineering, Programming & Preventive Maintenance Support company goals for set-up/cycle time, on-time delivery, quality, costs and inventory levels Drive lean six sigma continuous improvement activities to achieve operational excellence Solve and improve process and quality issues Insure product routers and standards are accurate Assess manufacturing processes and maximize efficiency, productivity and quality Demonstrated ability to produce required results in a hands-on, high energy environment Ensure compliance to budget and international/federal/state/local regulations and requirements Participate as core member of Product Development Team(s) Develop and maintain departmental performance measurements to demonstrate improvements Other duties as requiredExperience/Skills Required:
Excellent planning, communications, people skills and leadership ability required Medical device manufacturing experience desired Strong knowledge of FDA regulations and ISO13485 standard Practical lean manufacturing implementation experience including, 5S, Kaizen and VSM's Mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly experience Working knowledge of CAD systems - preferably SOLIDWORKS Verification and process validation experience (IQ, OQ, PQ) Understanding of Design for Manufacturability principles Laser marking of plastic, titanium and stainless steel Various methods of deburring precision components Knowledge of sterile packaging and packaging validation Electro polishing, acid etching, passivation, anodization and cleaning of parts Creative and persistent problem solver Excellent computer skills including the use of MS Word, Excel and Project Strong interpersonal skills requiredRequired Education/Licensing/Certification:
BSME/BSIE or equivalent experience Minimum 10 years manufacturing engineering experience Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience Requires the ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks Lean Six Sigma certification is a strong plusPhysical Requirements:
Minimal travel Lifting up to 50lbs.
First shift:
8:
00am - 5:
00pm Must be willing to work flexible hours.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
